Current policy
Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy protects guests, restaurants, messaging channels and the StoveOps platform. It applies to all website, product, messaging, automation and API use.
Permitted use
Use StoveOps for legitimate restaurant operations: waitlist, table-ready alerts, reservation coordination, guest service notes, menu/site updates, operational analytics, staff handoff and permitted campaigns that match guest expectations.
Messaging consent
You must have a lawful basis and required consent before sending messages. Every marketing or promotional message must identify the sender and include a working opt-out path. SMS and WhatsApp traffic must follow carrier, provider and country-specific rules. Opt-outs must be honored promptly and must not be bypassed by importing the same contact again.
Prohibited content and conduct
- Spam, unsolicited marketing, purchased lists, lead scraping or contact harvesting.
- Fraud, phishing, impersonation, deceptive sender identity or misleading offers.
- Illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, exploitative or unsafe content.
- Sensitive health, financial or identity data that is not necessary for restaurant service.
- Resale of message credits, account sharing outside your organization or using StoveOps as a bulk messaging gateway.
- Attempts to bypass rate limits, quotas, billing, authentication, security controls or provider filtering.
Fair use
Unlimited or high-volume features are intended for normal restaurant operations, not bulk outreach unrelated to active guest relationships. We may apply throttles, verification, plan changes or custom terms when traffic patterns create delivery risk, service degradation, abnormal carrier costs or compliance exposure.
Security and platform integrity
Do not probe, scan, attack, reverse engineer, overload, scrape, copy or interfere with StoveOps systems. Do not upload malware, automate abusive requests, use stolen credentials or access data you are not authorized to access.
Enforcement
We may warn, throttle, suspend, remove content, disable messaging, require re-verification, cancel add-ons or terminate accounts. Severe or repeated violations may be reported to providers, carriers, payment processors or authorities where appropriate.
Reporting abuse
Report suspected abuse or unwanted messages to contact@stoveops.com. Include the restaurant name, message content, timestamp, phone or email used and any opt-out request so we can investigate.
